She previously worked as a writer and editor at the New York Times, Salon, Buzzfeed, and Jezebel. She is the author of two novels, American Pacifica and The Life and Death of Sophie Stark. She is the author of the recent Vox story, "The Aziz Ansari story is ordinary. That's why we have to talk about it."
